Day4 Energy Rides Rising Global Demand for Solar Power

RENEWABLE ENERGY WORLD 2008 -- Day4 Energy of Canada is one of the almost 200 exhibitors at the conference. Economic woes don't seem to dampen this company's enthusiasm. With a fresh IPO and a sold-out production run, Day4 is just trying to keep up with demand for its innovative photovoltaic modules. Denis Du Bois interviews Day4's Jake Brown at REW. From rooftop systems to utility-scale arrays, from California to Germany, Day4 says the performance of its solar modules is what keeps demand growing.

Portland, Oregon will soon be home to the largest solar electric system in the Pacific Northwest. An array of 4,830 solar modules from Day4 Energy will be located atop a new facility for the Portland Habilitation Center, a nonprofit focused on job and skill training for the disabled. The architect carefully conceived the green building design to make the most of the modules' high performance and aesthetics.
