Cleantech RSS Feed for LinkedIn Groups and Other Sites

An RSS feed from Energy Priorities Magazine makes it easy for busy managers to provide clean energy ideas to their members.

Set it and forget it! Set it up once and you'll get a new article on your site every few days, wihtout having to seek out news content for your site.

This page is intended for managers of groups that support RSS news feeds, such as LinkedIn Groups. If you're looking for information about RSS readers and such, visit our "About" section or search the site for "RSS Feed".

Think of all the cleantech web sites your members would like to keep up with, but don't have the time. Wouldn't it be great to check all those sites every day and tell your members what's new? Now you can, effortlessly.

Here's how to do it.

First you need the URL of an RSS feed that you want to add, like the Energy Priorities RSS feed of articles and podcasts. More options are listed below. An RSS URL looks something like this:
http://energypriorities.com/index.xml
Have the URL handy, you'll need it in a minute.

Next, go to the News Feed administration page for your group or site. On LinkedIn, go to
Your Group > News tab > Manage News Feeds >

Enter the URL of the RSS feed where requested.

LinkedIn will extract the magazine's title and other information from the feed. If your site asks for more info, enter it, then click OK or Continue.

In LinkedIn, you're done. On other sites you might need to confirm the results before the feed will be live.

What next?

Sit back and relax. Now that your site or group has the RSS feed URL, it will check every day for new content.

Whenever we post a new article we update our RSS feed. The new article will show up on your site (for example, LinkedIn's News tab) automatically.
